Summary Double-sided satin powder-coated spring steel sheet for Prusa CORE One L Description In terms of printing properties, the Satin sheet sits between the smooth and textured variants. Its powder-coated surface with lightly textured matte finish offers an optimal level of adhesion, especially when printing PLA and PETG materials. It is fully...
The heatbed has embedded high Curie temperature magnets. These magnets are able to firmly hold removable spring steel sheets.
This print sheet is specially designed to print polyamide-based filaments, especially the Prusament PA11 Carbon Fiber Black. The PA11-type materials have generally a lower adhesion on textured or satin print sheets. This sheet has a special surface finish that increases the adhesion and is perfect for Prusament PA11. You can learn more about the Double-sided Powder-coated PA Nylon Spring Steel Sheet in Prusa's knowledge base.
IMPORTANT!
The surface of this sheet should be cleaned only with pure water. Using common agents such as IPA or Acetone will lead to a quick deterioration of the surface. Using a glue stick is no longer required and recommended. To clean grease-coated areas, use clean water with a drop of dishwashing detergent.
Notes:
Consumable parts, such as PEI sheets (smooth, textured, nylon, etc.) are not covered by warranty as the coatings are designed to diminish over time unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship. Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents, cracks or other cosmetic damage is also not covered by the warranty. Only defective sheets on arrival are covered by warranty.
As a result of the temperatures to which the plate is exposed during printing, its surface gradually becomes glossier or may develop smaller, duller areas. This visual change does not adversely affect the printing properties and is not considered a reason for a warranty claim.
Note that with the Original Prusa XL, the PA Nylon sheet wear is especially noticeable at the Z probing points, where the nozzle leaves visible marks on the surface. This does not affect the surface adhesion and overall printability. You can examine the marks in Prusa's knowledgebase article.
A new batch of the PA Nylon sheet will be released during July / August 2024. The new version will get a slightly rougher surface texture. This change will not affect the print sheet's functional properties. You can examine the changes in Prusa's knowledge base article as well.
